Venice!

When I walked out of the train station, I did not expect to see water. My mother thought I realized that Venice is in the middle of the Adriatic Sea, but I did not. There were boats in stead of taxis and no cars or scooters. We were supposed to do a walking tour but nobody arrived which was good because it rained anyway. My mother was so happy about the weather. It was cold compared to Florence.

We went to Murano and saw a glassmaker in action and we bought a horse that we saw him make. We also went to Burano where lace is made. We saw a jellyfish in a canal.

I would love to spend more time in Murano and Burano.

I made my own mask. We are trying to buy things from local artists and we found this shop and the owner helped decorate my mask.

And I saw another jellyfish!

Our time in Florence has ended, but not without one last pistachio cream filled croissant hot out of the oven!

We made it to Rome today. I am excited to go on the golf cart tour and also to see the Colliseum at night.
