Happy Mothers Day

Yesterday we went to the Uffizi Gallery. Uffizi means offices in Italian and the Medicis had these built as government offices. My favorite statue was this woman on a sea horse.

Spring was my favorite painting but there were too many people to get a picture. We did get a picture of Birth of Venus. And I noticed the painting of the Palazzo Vecchio on the ceiling. I also liked the view to the Ponte Vecchio.

It was a fun walk to find Santa Maria Novella Pharmacy.

I tried all the scents and my favorite was Rosa Gardenia.

Today we are going outside the city to Fiesole. We are hoping to see the sun set over Florence.
