3 week countdown!

7 months ago plane tickets and apartments were booked for our spring trip to Italy and the idea for 'The Staircase Chronicles' was born from the visit to City Hall for passport documents. SMG was amazed by the outside steps, the interior staircase, all the stonework and the banisters and railings. All I could say to her was, "Wait until you see all the buildings in Italy." As I plan for this trip there are many things to be sure are checked off our lists, but mostly it is nice to be planning such a long trip where there are fewer itineraries and a lot more time to leisurely explore.
